Luis D. Ortiz shocked Million Dollar Listing New York fans last season when he decided to step away from real estate. Fast-forward to March of this year, and the MDLNY agent moved to Paris and seems to be absolutely loving la vie these days.
Now in this new season of MDLNY, we're all getting to know and love new agent Steve Gold. However, we still can't help but wonder if Fredrik Eklund and Ryan Serhant still keep in touch with the longtime third of their MDLNY trio.
Well, you'll be happy to know that the answer is yes. In addition to reuniting with Luis in the City of Light in April, Fredrik also just had the loveliest of FaceTime sessions with the MDLNY alum prior to the Season 6 premiere. "The thing is with Luis and why we all love him so much, the audience loves him, he has this ability to just be so warm and loving. He's looking through that little screen, and he's like, 'Papi, this is a big day for you, and I love you, and I want you to enjoy every moment of it,'" Fredrik recently gushed to The Daily Dish. "I know he's saying it to me, and yet, he wants to be here. And it's hard for him. He's so generous with those words. I think he misses all of this. He decided not to do the show. So yeah, that's Luis in a nutshell."
But don't you fret, because Luis will make an appearance this season of MDLNY, as the supertease previously revealed. "It's good that he's in this season," Ryan teased to The Daily Dish. "I don't know when he pops up in terms of how they edit it all together, but he definitely pops up a bunch of times, so it's fun."
The moment even caught Fredrik off-guard, as we see in the Season 6 trailer. "He does literally pop up. I was in the interview, and I had no idea," Fredrik said. "And all of a sudden, he popped out from behind [there], literally."
Though surprising, we can only imagine that Luis will receive a warm welcome from the agents and audience alike when he makes his triumphant return to MDLNY this season. Of course, Luis is one-of-a-kind, but the addition of Steve to MDLNY gives the show an exciting, new vibe. "It's nice to see someone else and see how they manage the same city that we've been managing for the last six years, on television anyway. He's totally different," Ryan previously told Bravotv.com. "So it's fun, it's different, it's cool."
