After splitting from ex Gage Edward last year, Jeff Lewis has been open about his struggle to maintain a friendly relationship with his former partner while co-parenting their daughter. But it seems Gage is, at the very least, still following his ex on Instagram, as evidenced by the comment he made on a recent Instagram photo posted by the Flipping Out designer.

On January 1, Jeff took to Instagram to share an adorable picture of the daughter he and Gage share, Monroe Christine. In the photo, Monroe, who turned three years old back in October, can be seen smiling while posing against a blue backdrop.

The cute picture has already earned plenty of comments from both fans and fellow Bravolebs, including The Real Housewives of Orange County alums Gretchen Rossi (who called the photo “everything”) and Alexis Bellino (who wrote, “She is PRECIOUS!!!”).

But they’re not the only ones who couldn’t resist responding to the picture. Gage left his own sassy response to the post, writing, “(Second) School pic,” alongside a hand—clapping and heart emoji.

Jeff and Gage announced their separation in January 2019 after 10 years together. After initially maintaining an open-door visitation policy with his ex, Jeff revealed he was seeking to establish a formalized custody arrangement for their daughter back in May. The two reached a temporary deal in August, but were reportedly barely speaking while working to finalize the agreement this fall.

Despite their contentious custody battle, Jeff seemed to extend an olive branch to Gage during a November episode of his Radio Andy Show, Jeff Lewis Live. "I hope we have a friendship. I would like to have a friendship with Gage," he said at the time. "And that's what I'm putting out there."
