Joe Giudice Reveals His “Aha Moment” Right Before Reported Split From Teresa
"I felt rejected," the RHONJ dad shared in an emotional message.
Joe Giudice is opening up his reported separation from wife of 20 years, Teresa Giudice. On February 22, The Real Housewives of New Jersey dad took to Instagram to reveal the moment that he realized that their marriage had irrevocably changed.
Earlier this week, RHONJ fans got a first glimpse of the show’s upcoming season finale, in which Teresa makes it clear that she’s uncomfortable sharing a bed with Joe after reuniting during a filmed trip in Italy last November. Joe reshared the clip on his Instagram page, adding the caption, “My AHA moment!”
He explained, “That was my moment of insight. I felt rejected. This is the first time while filming a scene, I had severe anxiety and grief. I was [locked] up for four years, any human would have a psychological impact of prison life. This was the moment, I knew deep in my heart she was being difficult with me for a reason.”
Joe also went on to say, “My wife has never said no to sleeping with me. I had to walk away. I don’t have resentment against her (her emotions are justified). it was off guard should have been private.”
Amid his split from Teresa, Joe says he’s now turning his attention to their four shared daughters. “I realized I must be responsible for only my kids that’s what matters. I want to provide, encourage, embrace them with my love in limited time together,” he concluded in the emotional post.
Joe remains in Italy as he awaits the final decision in his ongoing deportation case. Amid reports of he and Teresa's split, the two seem to be keeping things cordial, with Joe most recently expressing his gratitude for her on Valentine’s Day.
