Jasmine and Jordan Are Feuding on Summer House: Martha's Vineyard Over "Inauthentic" Moments
Jasmine admitted to feeling iced out when some cast members headed to Jamaica without her but couldn't understand why.
Things are looking sunny for the Season 2 cast of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard, but maybe not so much for Jordan Emanuel and Jasmine Ellis Cooper.
A lot has happened between the peak seasons in the coastal Massachusetts town of Oak Bluffs, and the March 24, 2024 season premiere gave fans a full explainer of what happened in the interim that made their encounters so tense. More importantly, fans are wondering if this friendship can be mended.
“So much has changed since last summer,” Jasmine told producers. “My sister-cousin, Jordan, we’ve barely spoken since last summer … she’s best friends with everybody else.”
Why are Jasmine Ellis Cooper and Jordan Emanuel fighting?
On the car ride to Martha’s Vineyard, Jordan and Summer Marie Thomas chatted about Jordan and Jasmine’s relationship status. Jordan clarified she had no ill will toward Jasmine but said Jasmine was “inauthentic” in Season 1, which made Jordan “feel crazy.”
“Last summer, Jasmine didn’t seem like herself,” said Jordan. “It just felt like she felt like she had to put on this act of being the perfect wife; dress cleanly in her state of perfection rather than being the light-hearted, goofy, carefree person that I knew.”

Here's Where the Summer House: Martha's Vineyard Cast's Relationships Stand in Season 2
Jordan claimed Jasmine tried guiding the show’s conversation in Season 1 by “trying to push people together.” Since then, the former Playboy Club girls have become estranged.
“It’s hard to come to a solution when you don’t know what the problem is,” Jordan said of the screenwriter. “She really hasn’t communicated it with me at this point.”
Jasmine, for her part, noted to producers that Jordan and Summer seemed to team up between seasons.
“Since last summer, Jordan and Summer got real close — close away from me,” said Jasmine. “Maybe in Jordan’s mind I wasn’t available. Cue Summer.”
Jasmine expressed that she felt iced out of the group after filming Season 1, especially when she wasn’t invited on a trip to Jamaica with Jordan, Summer, Preston Mitchum, and Shanice Henderson. The group also excluded Jasmine when they attended the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, a point raised when they sat for a lobster tail meal on their first night together this season.
“I feel like I’m not as close to Jordan right now,” Jasmine told the group, to which Jordan nodded in agreement. “I’m not even sure what’s going on.”
Jordan expressed her wish to have the conversation but didn’t want it in “a public setting.”
The next day, Jasmine had a virtual call with her husband, Silas Cooper – currently deployed overseas with the U.S. Army — explaining she “wanted to be done” with any drama between her and Jordan.
Are Jasmine and Jordan are friends again?
The cast — including Bria Fleming, Amir Lancaster, Nick Arrington, Alex Tyree, and newcomer Noelle Hughley — headed out to sea for some fun in the sun. It was time for Jasmine and Jordan to see if they could really let bygones be bygones.
At first, Jordan wasn’t interested in having “a Dr. Phil session” while aboard the catamaran, but then she let Jordan pull her aside to hash things out once and for all. She admitted that she “pulled away” from the friendship in recent months because she “mistrusted” what she saw from Jasmine.
Jasmine said it was true that she got “lost in the sauce” of being newly married, admitting that she wasn’t “authentic” and was instead “surviving.” However, she didn’t feel she should be blamed for the friends drifting apart.
“I don’t feel like I’m responsible for this [friendship] shift because you’re getting closer to everybody else,” said Jasmine. “I don’t mind that, but it does add to the separation.”
Ultimately, the girls hugged it out and agreed to “reestablish” their relationship, though for now, it’s not clear what the future holds for the two of them.
