Kate Chastain Threatens to "Quit" Below Deck and Now We Know Why
The Below Deck chief stew explains what drives her to "jump ship" in Season 7.
Only one episode of Below Deck Season 7 has aired, and the high-seas drama is already starting to heat up. But from the looks of what's to come later on this season, it's only going to get hotter and hotter.
However, we never thought we'd see what the Season 7 trailer teased (clip above). It looks like Ashton Pienaar and Kate Chastain will have a heated moment in which the bosun tells the chief stew, "Everybody feels that way about you, Kate!"
She tells him, "OK, great. Go find another chief stew. I quit," before we see her off the boat and walking down the dock.
"I always surprise myself, I'm full of surprises," Kate recently told ET about this season of Below Deck. "I didn't technically go overboard but I did kind of jump ship."
As for the moment when Kate said she "quit," she explained, "I was just frustrated. It was close quarters, and it was towards the end of the season and, in that moment, it was just kind of one of those, 'Eff you, eff you, you're cool, I'm out' [moments]."
Kate also noted, "You know, yachting is just a very stressful situation."
We'll have to wait and see what actually causes Kate to peace out from the crew later on this season of Below Deck. For now, check out a sneak peek of an all-new episode coming at you on Monday at 9/8c, below.
