Kathryn Dennis and Boyfriend Hunter Price Have Broken Up: Report
One of the Southern Charm cast member's recent photos had fans wondering if she was engaged.
It looks like Kathryn Dennis' whirlwind romance with boyfriend Hunter Price has come to an end. The Southern Charm couple has broken up, according to PEOPLE.
The news comes after Kathryn shared a photo of herself on Instagram on Thursday, August 28 showing off what appeared to be a diamond ring on her left hand. Many fans wondered in the comments to the Instagram post if that bit of bling was just a piece of jewelry or if it was actually an engagement ring.
In the caption to the post, Kathryn made no mention of her relationship status and simply reflected on Season 6 of Southern Charm, which just wrapped up with Part 2 of the reunion on Wednesday night. "Thank y’all so much for watching us this season," she wrote. "Y’all make it all worth it! Stay Gucci and stay tuned."
However, it would appear that Kathryn is single these days. “Kathryn is not engaged to anyone but herself. She and Hunter actually split about two weeks ago,” a source told PEOPLE. “Their relationship ran its course. Kathryn is doing well, and staying focused on the kids.”
Kathryn went public with her new relationship in January after sharing her first photo with Hunter on Instagram. The two met around New Year's in Nashville. "I was having dinner with some friends that lived there, and he came, and we clicked. And we're weird, and he gets my weird, and that's really weird," Kathryn said during an interview with The Daily Dish in July. "He's really sweet and genuine. To be honest with you, I had lost hope that anyone like that existed ever again in life."
Kathryn had been dating Joseph Abruzzo at the start of this season of Southern Charm. However, that relationship ultimately came to an end, and she started seeing Hunter, a country singer who appeared in Season 13 of America's Got Talent, as the season wound down.
Kathryn proclaimed to Danni Baird that she was in love after her meet-cute with Hunter. He even accompanied Kathryn to Patricia Altschul's party in the season finale. And yes, he did get the grande dame's seal of approval, as well as that of several of the Charmers.
Craig Conover shared that Hunter was even supportive of Kathryn's healthy lifestyle during an interview with Us Weekly in July. “I love Hunter. He’s a great dude. Yeah, we’re big fans,” Craig told Us Weekly. “He’s like a sweetheart guy. He’s very nice and she’s really happy around him. And he’s sober, so it’s a good influence.”
Kathryn said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in July that her relationship was going "great," but she did not foresee herself walking down the aisle any time soon. She confirmed that she and Hunter were still together during the Southern Charm Season 6 reunion, which filmed earlier this month. Kathryn spoke about the differences of dating someone closer to her own age. "We can grow together," she shared. "We connect on a level where we try to figure things out, too."
