“The last four years have been a trolley-slapping good time but after much consideration, I have made the personal decision to step away from RHOD,” LeeAnne said in a statement to PEOPLE.

“Getting to share my wedding with the viewers last year brought me tremendous joy, however, the season was very personally challenging for me,” she continued. “I am looking forward to stepping away from the cameras and spending quality time with my husband and friends, traveling, but most importantly, getting back to philanthropy, which was my main reason for joining the show.”

“Thank you to everyone who has laughed and cried with me along the way,” LeeAnne concluded her statement. “It’s been an amazing journey, and yes my pantyliner is still exhausted. There are so many exciting things on my horizon that I can’t wait to share with you.”

Since Season 1, fans have followed LeeAnne's adventures as a socialite and charity queen in Dallas. Of course, that has also included fun, wild, and sometimes explosive times with her fellow Dallas Housewives, from unforgettable events to epic vacations.

LeeAnne has had some challenging moments while navigating her friendships with the Dallas Housewives over the years, including drama with Brandi Redmond and Stephanie Hollman, conflict with Cary and Mark Deuber, and a major falling out with her longtime BFF D'Andra Simmons. After LeeAnne made some controversial comments about Kary Brittingham in Season 4 of RHOD, she found herself on the outs with much of the group.

LeeAnne has also shared her softer side with fans, letting them into her journey to heal from her painful past, manage her anger, and find love again with husband Rich Emberlin

Even though LeeAnne encountered some obstacles on her way to the altar, she and Rich tied the knot on April 27, 2019. They shared their big day with fans in Season 4 of RHOD, giving us one of the most romantic moments of the series.

LeeAnne reflected on how much she's grown as a person since Season 1 of RHOD during a panel at BravoCon in November 2019. "You learn a lot," LeeAnne said of watching herself on TV. "I will say being on reality TV is the best therapy you could ever have because you get to see yourself as you are, if you're willing to be you. I mean, to the core… That's me."
