Lily Davison Is Worried that the Charter Will Be "Awkward" for *This* Reason

Tumi Mhlongo is worried about the new stew as well. Get details.

By Shannon Raphael

Lily Davison joined the Mustique crew well into the Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8 charter season, and she may not have had enough time to get caught up to speed with the rest of the interior team.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck Mediterranean on Monday, June 3 at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app

Since she joined the rest of the crew on Season 8, Episode 10, Lily has admittedly struggled to keep up with laundry, turn-down service, and cleaning the cabins. On Episode 12, chief stew Tumi Mhlongo reached her "last straw" with the fourth stew. Find out what happened — and learn the latest on Lily's relationship with Kyle Viljoen — by scrolling below.

Where Lily Davison and Kyle Viljoen Stand

After getting off on a bad foot during their first crew night out together, Lily wondered if her relationship with fellow stew, Kyle, would make the rest of the charter season "awkward."

"With Kyle, like, this is going to be awkward, isn't it?" Lily wondered in an interview on the episode. "This charter is going to be awkward."

However, the two later cleared the air in the laundry room.

"You're a great guy, and I feel bad that it's been awkward between us," Lily told the second stew.

Tumi Mhlongo's Concerns About Lily Davison's Experience

Though Lily managed to make amends with Kyle during the charter, the other two members of the interior team are worried about her experience level.

Jessika Asai, who has been helping Lily in the cabins, said, "Lily is too inexperienced to do beds and heads by herself, so I have to go and check her work, which means I can't go and help Tumi and Kyle on service."

Chief stew Tumi Mhlongo also reflected on Lily's work. "Lily's lack of experience is becoming more of a liability," Tumi said in an interview on the episode. "She's slowing Jess down, and it's slowing everything down, which means that I need the deck's help. I just need to figure out a way to turn this all around."

As Tumi explained, the rest of the crew has been feeling tired as they near the end of the charter season. "I have patience, but everyone is extremely exhausted," the chief stew added about training Lily. "Like, we have to try something new."

"I have to teach her. That's my responsibility, and I'm happy to do that. But, at the same time, I feel like she's not getting it," she continued. "This is her second charter. If you're not processing what I'm saying, this is not gonna work."

When Lily began taking notes on an iPad, Tumi told her that using the device could cause distractions and "problems."

"My patience is gone," Tumi said. "This is my last straw with Lily."

Captain Sandy Yawn's Conversation with Lily Davison

After the charter ended, Tumi headed to the bridge to talk to Captain Sandy Yawn about Lily's performance.

Sandy then decided to chat with the Brit in an attempt to get her motivated about the job.

"I need you to be more aware and have that initiative. Because I really need you to be able to do this on your own," she said. "I have given you this opportunity. One more chance. You will be exhausted. It's how you maintain under those conditions is how I decide to keep crew."

"Give me a f-cking break, honestly," Lily lamented in an interview about Sandy's message. "I can't win."
