Here’s What Happened After the Dr. Heavenly Kimes and Toya Bush-Harris Drama at Dr. Jackie’s Party

The Married to Medicine cast members have an emotional moment after that tense get-together at Dr. Jackie Walters’ house.

When the Married to Medicine cast gathered at Dr. Jackie Walters’ house on the September 25 episode, emotions escalated, and from there drama erupted between Toya Bush-Harris and Dr. Heavenly Kimes. But now Heavenly is offering an explanation and an apology in a preview of the October 2 episode of Married to Medicine, noting that her emotions have been running high following the passing of her mother.

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine now streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

“But I wanted to apologize to you,” she tells Toya in the preview of Sunday’s episode, above. “The other day at Jackie’s house, I was going through stress. I’ve been crying a lot lately, and it’s just not me.”

Toya noted that Heavenly was understandably emotional given that her mother had recently passed away. “Everybody goes through things, but it’s no reason for me to act out because of it,” Heavenly says during the heart-to-heart, leading both women to get emotional.

In an interview featured in the episode, Toya adds, “I think that the reality is when someone loses a parent, if you don’t show compassion there, you’re an a--hole.”

You can check out their full emotional moment ahead of Sunday’s episode, above.

Heavenly’s mom passed away back in January, and Heavenly’s journey on Season 9 of Married to Medicine has taken fans inside her grieving process. On September 25, Heavenly reflected on how she’s found support from those in her life in the wake of the loss. “I’d rather laugh [than] cry! Thank you all for your condolences! Every member of the cast and production team were really there for me in my time of need,” she shared on Twitter earlier this month. “I am forever grateful, it will never be forgotten! R.I.P. Momma I love you!”
