How Meghan King Edmonds Addressed Husband Jim Edmonds' Cheating Scandal with Their Children

Over the past month, Meghan King Edmonds has been dealing with the aftermath of her husband, Jim Edmonds, admitting that he had "engaged in an inappropriate conversation" with another woman via text message while she was pregnant with their twin sons, Hayes and Hart, in March 2018.

One of the most painful parts of an already heartbreaking situation was that Hayes and Hart, who turned 1 in June, and Meghan and Jim's daughter Aspen, who will turn 3 in November, could tell that something was going on in their family, according to The Real Housewives of Orange County alum. "They picked up on the anxiety in the house," Meghan said during a recent interview with DailyMail.com. "I’m an open book and I think it is important to be open and honest with the whole family but on an age appropriate level."

Meghan then shared how she explained to her daughter what was going on between herself and Jim. "With my daughter, when we would say our nightly prayers I said to her, 'We need to pray for mommy and daddy that we learn to love each other so, so much again. Because we do love each other so, so much and we need to learn it again because we are so, so sad right now,'" Meghan said. "That was hard."

The RHOC alum also told DailyMail.com that her family, both her blood relatives and her Real Housewives family, have been there for her during this difficult time. "I'm a mom, that's my strength and I need it. With fame, I've discovered the highs are very high and the lows are very low. I have had support from the housewives but my main support network are my close friends and family here in Missouri," she said. "My family is the ultimate example of a loving, supporting family and they know how to support my husband and I as a unit without condemning his actions."

Jim made it clear that “at no time was there any type of relationship or physical contact" with this other woman and showed remorse for his actions in a statement to Us Weekly in June. “Clearly, I made a very poor decision to expose myself and my family to this type of person," he said. "For this, I am truly sorry and sought forgiveness from my wife."

Things have slowly gotten back to normal for the Edmonds family this summer. Meghan has shared some photos of herself and Jim getting in some summer fun with their children in recent weeks.
