Vicki Gunvalson on Meeting New Housewives: "I Don't Put Them in the Initiation Phase Like I Used To"
The OG of the #RHOC gives her honest opinion of newbie Peggy Sulahian.
There's a new Housewife on the block in the OC, and she's already got Vicki Gunvalson's seal of approval. The OG of The Real Housewives of Orange County seemed to become fast friends with newbie Peggy Sulahian in Monday night's episode.
And when The Daily Dish caught up with Vicki earlier this month, she was still feeling the love when it came to the RHOC rookie. "Peggy and I got along really well, and I think she's a great addition to the cast. She's very privileged — I call her that — a little bit in some of the episodes," Vicki shared (clip above). "But she's really neat. She's got a great, great family. And her husband's really super. I think she was a great addition to our cast."
Vicki even gave Peggy some advice on navigating what can be the drama-filled waters of RHOC. "I think the biggest thing is just be honest and try to stay out of the fray, some of the backlash that can happen with some of the women," Vicki said of the words of wisdom she shared with Peggy on joining the RHOC crew. "But she held her own all season, so I think that the viewers are gonna really like her."
Vicki admitted that she hasn't always been the most welcoming to new RHOC pals in the past. (We even got a trip down memory lane during Monday night's episode of her not-so-great first meetings with Gretchen Rossi, Lizzie Rovsek, and Meghan King Edmonds during their inaugural seasons of RHOC.) But after 12 seasons, Vicki said that she has learned to embrace change when it comes to this social circle. "I don't put them in the initiation phase like I used to," Vicki said, adding that she thinks "it's good" to meet new RHOC ladies these days.
