This Project Runway Season 19 Challenge Is Just Spooky Enough to Get You Excited for Halloween
Plus, it features Christian Siriano in a vampire cape(!).
Bravo's Project Runway is getting into the Halloween spirit — and we don't just mean because Thursday's episode will feature mentor Christian Siriano in a vampire cape (which he pulls off like a pro). In a sneak peek of the October 28 episode of Project Runway, first shared exclusively with Bravo Insider members, fans are getting a first taste of how the designers feel about the very spooky challenge ahead of them.
The designers are relieved they won't have to design costumes, but they will need to find inspiration in "haunting themes" like so many great designers before them. "Like any great horror movie, there's a twist," Christian tells the designers about the upcoming challenge before things get extra interesting.
So, to get their creative juices flowing, they are sent to a haunted mansion, the Bartow-Pell mansion to be exact, to spend the night. When they get to the mansion, they are greeted with a ghostly hologram of Christian, plenty of spooky glam decor, as well as macabre vibes on which to base their "hauntingly chic" designs meant to be worn for a masquerade ball. And, of course, Christian has a few rules about what those designs should look like and include.
Check out how the designers really feel about the spooky twist in the exclusive clip, above.
