Wendy Osefo Weighs In on Robyn Dixon Wanting a Prenup Before Getting Remarried
Hear what The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member had to say on the matter during WWHL.
The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Dr. Wendy Osefo and Robyn Dixon haven’t always been the best of friends, but there’s one thing they can agree on.
Wendy revealed as much during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen after a fan asked for her thoughts on Robyn wanting a prenup before remarrying Juan Dixon. More specifically, the fan asked, “Do you think it’s bad for the relationship that Robyn is considering an infidelity clause in her prenup with Juan [Dixon]?”
The short answer? No. As Wendy put it, “Honestly, despite all [our] differences, if she feels as though she needs to protect her assets, then I think that that’s OK, because you have to make wise decisions whenever there’s money involved.”
“While we all want to be married forever, who knows what tomorrow may hold?” Wendy added. “So I don’t hold that against her.”
Robyn first brought up the idea of a prenup on RHOP’s Season 7 premiere, telling Charrisse Jackson-Jordan that she and Juan actually signed one the first time they got married, back in 2005. The only difference between then and now, Robyn added, is that she’s currently “the breadwinner,” meaning “the roles are reversed.”
“In a divorce, I don’t think the person who makes less money, I don’t think that they should automatically get half,” Robyn explained on RHOP. “They didn’t earn that half. When Juan was in the NBA, I was a housewife, and even our prenup, I didn’t think I deserved half of what he made.”
And now that she’s not “sitting at home relying on Juan’s income,” Robyn said she doesn’t think he “deserves” half of hers. “No,” she added in an episode interview. “We ain’t doing that.”
Robyn has continued to pursue the idea of a prenup on subsequent episodes of RHOP, and most recently, she discovered that she could have an infidelity clause included, as the WWHL fan pointed out.
