How Real Housewives of Potomac's Ashley Darby Is Earning Her Income: From Yoga to Drag Shows

What is "Gizelle n Ashley?" Plus, a look at the other ways The Real Housewives of Potomac's Ashley Darby brings home the bacon.

We’ve seen The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Ashley Darby open up a restaurant with her estranged husband, as well as juggle motherhood with two young boys, Dean and Dylan.

But Ashley’s marital status will still be a hot topic when Season 8 premieres, and according to her Bravo bio, “as she contemplates the life of a single mother and the financial challenges that lie ahead, she questions how she will support her family.”

While Ashley figures out her career, we do know it includes a new secret project with fellow housewife Gizelle Byrant.

Ashley recently added a link to her Instagram bio to something called “Gizelle n Ashley” with the caption, "coming soon." That project created its first post on Instagram on October 6, with just a “gna” logo, but no other description. The mystery deepened when the “Gizelle n Ashley” account posted another video that same day of Ashley and Gizelle dancing. The caption on the post reads, “GnA all day! Creative meetings always end with a little freestyle.” Both Ashley and Gizelle are wearing shirts and pants with the “gna” logo, but there was no further explanation for what it is.

How did Ashley Darby become a yoga instructor?

Ashley’s project with Gizelle isn’t the only work in Ashley’s life. Ashley earned her 200 hour yoga teacher certification according to her website. In her Bravo bio, she describes how she’s trying to find the balance between “inner peace and outer physicality.” She also said she’s trying to work to balance “love, family, business and motherhood.”

Ashley first discovered yoga after experiencing a miscarriage.

“It presented itself to me when I was just feeling so down and depressed, and it really saved me,” she told The Washingtonian. “I realized it’s about the physical and the mental.”

But Ashley’s love of yoga extends into teaching. She said she has “the intention of helping other souls find their peace and purpose in a busy world” on her website. To get her yoga guide and her yoga tips, you can subscribe to her email list on her website.

She often instructs yoga classes out in the Potomac community as well, posting this video to her Instagram of her “Every Now And Zen” 45 minute class.

Ashley started a coast to coast drag show tour in Minneapolis in January 2023. She posted a video to her Instagram of the event, writing, “The Queens put on an amazing show and the audience was absolutely incredible!...2 sold out shows.”

Ashley is also a contributor for the TV news station Fox 5 In Washington D.C and their “Lion Lunch hour” segment. In August, she appeared on the show to talk about the Big 3 Celebrity Basketball game in which she participated.

Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
