Craig Conover Explains His "Heated" and "Impassioned" Remarks About Naomie Olindo at the Southern Charm Reunion

Find out where the Southern Charm exes stand today.

By Laura Rosenfeld

Though Craig Conover and Naomie Olindo haven't been a couple for a while, the exes still had a lot of unresolved issues to discuss, as we saw this season of Southern Charm. So when the two came face-to-face during Part 1 of this season's reunion, we imagined that they would exchange words. But we weren't ready for just how much drama these two would bring to the couch.

How to Watch

Watch Southern Charm on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Craig took to Twitter as the episode aired Thursday night to elaborate on some of what was discussed between the exes. For starters, he responded to Naomie saying that he didn't always tell the truth during the course of their relationship. "I never said I lied a lot or even at all. I said I can be a really good liar and was talking about lying to myself as in justifying procrastinating and telling myself it’s ok," Craig explained. "[Naomie] saying I lied all the time is a defense mechanism she used to justify the way she treated me."

In response to Shep Rose calling Craig out for "saying some harsh words" toward Naomie, Craig tweeted, "It may be harsh but if people say things that aren’t true I call them out for it."

The Southern Charm lawyer explained why he got so upset with Naomie during the reunion. "And those feelings and reactions were in response to things happening on stage at the reunion. They were heated responses and impassioned responses," he said. "Everything’s fine. @Naomie_olindo and I are both happy and letting each other live our lives."

Though Craig said he was no longer in love with Naomie at the reunion, his fellow Charmers seemed to think otherwise. As for Naomie, she shut down any possibility of the two rekindling their romance in the future during the Southern Charm After Show, which was filmed before this season's reunion (clip above). "There's definitely no hope now, as far as Craig and I getting back together just because it's been a long time, and we're both a lot happier," she shared. "We've realized that sometimes two people just don't belong together no matter how much you love each other. It's legitimately just a personality difference. He brought out the worst in me. I sucked the life out of him."

There's so much more to discuss when Part 2 of the reunion kicks off Thursday at 9/8c. Check out a sneak peek, below.
