While we've seen glimpses of the menu and interior design, and heard a bit about what's holding up the process, the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere gave viewers more details about the eatery.

Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix's updates on Something About Her Sandwich Shop

During the episode, which aired on January 30, Katie and Ariana planned to go shopping, and Katie had a very specific purchase in mind. "I really want to find cute teacups for the sandwich shop," she said.

"Everything has been falling into place with Something About Her," Katie shared in an episode interview. "We secured our location last September. We got it all redesigned by Jon Hutman, who is Nancy Meyers' production designer, and we brought Penny on in a more official capacity to do our menu and be our [COO]."

It seems their outing was successful. Later in the episode, Scheana Shay asked Ariana, "How's the sandwich shop?" and she responded, "Good. We got a bunch of plates and cups and stuff from a thrift store."

The episode also gave viewers new looks inside Something About Her, which you can see below:

Something About Her menu details

As the episode quickly showed, Something About Her has an area dedicated to a variety of delicious-looking pastries.

Previously, Katie and Ariana have given hints about the menu as they have continued to develop it. In May 2022, Ariana told BravoTV.com she wanted to create “a sandwich that involves lots of hot peppers and anything salty, pickled.” Four months later, at a tasting event that was later seen on Season 10, Episode 14 of Vanderpump Rules, the cast members got to sample a Greek salad sandwich and a spicy turkey sandwich, among others.

In an April 2023 appearance on an episode of Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino, Katie gave more details on the menu. "You’re gonna have a traditional turkey, but maybe with a little bit of spice or kick to it, a spicy Italian," she shared. "I love a good egg-salad sandwich."

“We gotta have some seasonal salads we can rotate, depending on the time of year," she continued. "We wanna do beer and wine. Ariana, she can make a lot of wine-based cocktails. She has the skills for that.”

Katie gushed about their food at BravoCon 2023's "SUR’ving Up the Latest With Vanderpump Rules" panel, declaring, "Our menu is great. We're really excited about that."

Why hasn't Something About Her opened?

So, with the design done and the menu seemingly created, why hasn't Something About Her opened its doors? At the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere party, Katie explained just that to BravoTV.com.

Responding to a question from The Real Housewives of Potomac's Candiace Dillard Bassett regarding the opening date, Katie shared, "Right now, we're just waiting on some physical copies of some permits."

"We're on other people's time at this point," she continued. "It's really frustrating. Everyone wants to know. I want to know, too. It's just literally waiting on physical copies of permits so we can get our final permit that we need. It's a waiting game."
