What Is the Below Deck Med Season 5 Crew Doing Now?

We have some major updates on The Wellington yachties.

By Laura Rosenfeld

Season 5 of Below Deck Mediterranean was definitely one that neither fans watching at home nor The Wellington crew will ever forget — especially Captain Sandy Yawn.

How to Watch

The Below Deck Med boss gave her crew members some major praise at the final tip meeting in the Season 5 finale, which aired on October 12. "Wow, we made it, our final charter. I loved hearing you guys on the dock, everybody's hugging each other, not fighting, which is such a beautiful thing," Captain Sandy told her crew. "When I started this season, some of you that were here knew I wanted to end with the same crew. That's not life; that's in a perfect world, which rarely happens. But it turns out even better."

We also heard Captain Sandy explain what made this crew unlike any she has worked with before as the Season 5 finale came to a close. "This crew stands out because it's all the challenges that we face and that we're able to conquer and end like this, I am so proud of them," she shared. "And I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to work with them."

Well, we're sure Captain Sandy would be even more proud of what her crew went on to do next. The finale ended with updates on what each of the yachties did after the charter season ended, and let's just say Season 5 was just the beginning of their high seas adventures.

Aesha Scott

Aesha Scott, who expressed feeling homesick at times during the season, immediately went back home to New Zealand. But lately, she has been exploring the United States with her new boyfriend, Scott Dobbo.

Bugsy Drake

Bugsy Drake went on to serve as a chief stew for a charter yacht in the Bahamas. And yes, her tablescape game is still on point as ever.

Alex Radcliffe

Alex Radcliffe worked as a deckhand for a private yacht. He couldn't be more grateful for all of the love and support fans have shown him this season. "What a ride this experience has been. Thank you to everyone who has followed this journey and for the kind words," he shared in a post on Instagram on October 12. "You guys are truly the most loyal fans out there."

Alex jokingly added in the post, "Also someone please teach me how to become a better flirt thanks."

Rob Westergaard

Rob Westergaard, who went to work on a charter yacht in Florida after Below Deck Med Season 5, also showed his appreciation for everyone involved with the series in a post on Instagram on October 12. "And then it was all over. Thank you to all the amazing people who went along for the crazy ride with us all! More importantly thank you to everyone behind the scenes that looked after all of us so selflessly! What a beautiful experience, what amazing people I had the honor of working with and can now call my friends. I love you all!"

The Instagram post included a photo of Rob with a filter made to make him look quite a few years older (or a little like Below Deck's Captain Lee Rosbach, we would say!). "Oh and this picture is how I looked after the season," Rob said of the snap.

Jess More

Jess More was promoted to a second stew position on a private yacht in the Hamptons. However, she celebrated Below Deck Med Season 5 coming to a close with Alex and other friends in Florida. "What better way to finish out the season than [a] pool day with my favorite people!!" Jess gushed in a post on Instagram on October 12 that featured pics of their pool day out.

Tom Checketts

Tom Checketts got back into the galley as the head chef on a 75-meter charter yacht. He recently shared some photos of the sights and some dishes he prepared during a stop in Antibes, France. "A few pictures from our brief stop in Antibes," Tom wrote in a post on Instagram on October 9. "Time for a break and to catch up with family and friends and of course getting inspired for the next season."

Hindrigo "Kiko" Lorran

Hindrigo "Kiko" Lorran's time on The Wellington ended before the charter season officially came to a close, but we are happy to report that he is still in yachting. Kiko went to work as a chef on a catamaran in Martinique in the Caribbean after he left The Wellington.

Malia White

Malia White stayed in the Med and went to work as a bosun/second officer on a 55-meter charter yacht. "My first charter season as Bosun is done [and] dusted," Malia reflected on Season 5 of Below Deck Med in a post on Instagram on October 13. "It was a wild ride but we did it! Thanks to everyone for watching!"

Hannah Ferrier

Hannah Ferrier's time in yachting may have come to an end earlier this season of Below Deck Med. However, the former chief stew is about to start an exciting new chapter. She is expecting her first child, a baby girl, with her boyfriend Josh this October

Hannah shared in a post on Instagram on October 12 that her baby has dropped and that she will be welcoming her little one "any day now."
