Kim Kardashian Couldn’t Eat in Her Corset — But After the Met Gala, She Ate a Dozen Donuts By Herself

Kim Kardashian West was dripping with Thierry Mugler crystals — and presumably hunger — on the Met ball's red carpet.

Last year, Kim Kardashian was so intent on her Met Gala look being perfect that she went on a 10-day cleanse beforehand... and ended up losing so much weight, she worried her gown wouldn't fit. (Holler if you can relate? Oh right — crickets.) This year, in the leadup to the event, Kim shifted her diet to include only plant-based fare. And then she hit the 2019 Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute gala in a Thierry Mugler look meant to give the illusion that she was emerging dripping wet from the ocean, like the California girl she is.

An additional effect of the dress — perhaps not surprising — was that the corset under it rendered Kim's waist so teeny tiny that it left no room for food in her stomach.

Eh, so much for eating at the Met. Who has time for that anyway, with so many selfies to be taken? But all's well that ends well, and Kim had a plan for the Tuesday morning following all the hoopla. She knew all along she'd go from looking like a snack.... to devouring one.

In a video for Vogue showing Kim's last wardrobe fitting before the event, she said, "I am gonna eat donuts tomorrow. I have a delivery at 8:30 in the morning of two dozen mini donuts — my favorite donuts ever from New York. And I eat a dozen by myself but they're... mini mini mini. A dozen probably equals one regular donut."

Delish reports that delivery came from Doughnuttery right to Kim's hotel — and it makes sense, since Kim has previously called the shop the "best place in NYC."
