Here’s What Thanksgiving Looks Like for the Atlanta Housewives
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members share a peek inside their incredible holiday celebrations.
Whether it’s a Sunday brunch or a birthday dinner, The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members tend to go all out for their meals no matter what the occasion. So it’s no surprise that when Thanksgiving rolls around each year, their days tend to be filled with a combination of special moments and mouthwatering feasts.
Episode 10 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Season 15, which aired on July 16, showed what many of the ladies did to celebrate the holiday in 2022.
Kandi Burruss' Thanksgiving Tradition
Kandi Burruss continued her annual day-before-Thanksgiving tradition of gathering groceries and distributing them to those in need via her nonprofit foundation, Kandi Cares. “I’m out here doing our gift bags for Thanksgiving,” Kandi said in a video shown during the episode. “We give everything that they need to have a great Thanksgiving meal for the holiday.”
In an Instagram post Kandi shared in November 2022 after putting together the food packages, she declared, “It was an awesome feeling to be able to help so many families to have a great Thanksgiving!”
While the episode didn’t show exactly what Kandi was up to on Thanksgiving Day, she has been known to cook an incredible holiday meal for her family with dishes including turkey, chicken-broccoli-rice casserole, collard greens with smoked turkey, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, sweet potato pies, and cakes.
How Sanya Richards-Ross and Marlo Hampton Celebrate Thanksgiving
Sanya Richards-Ross proudly showed off her homemade holiday spread during the episode as she handed a plate to her husband, Aaron Ross, and Marlo Hampton also enjoyed a meal with her loved ones. “My goddaughter just took the lamb chops out of the oven, and I was catching hell trying to sneak one,” Marlo said in a video as she took a bite.
As you can see in the clip above, Thanksgiving 2022 also marked a milestone moment for Kenya Moore as her dad met her daughter, Brooklyn, for the first time.
Soon after the holiday concluded, several members of the group came together for another memorable meal, a group brunch at the home of Drew Sidora and Ralph Pittman. With help from some professional chefs, Ralph, Aaron, Todd Tucker, Courtney R. Rhodes’ ex-partner Bryce, and Marlo’s date, Scotley, cooked for the day. Their mouthwatering meal included shrimp, salmon, beignets, crab cakes, and more delicious food.
During the get-together, Shereé Whitfield shared how she spent her “great Thanksgiving” with her family. “I saw you cooking greens,” Drew said, to which Shereé replied, “Yes! Greens [and] dressing.”
