Emily Simpson gives an update on her health and fitness journey
In addition to answering the question about her husband, Emily also responded to her followers' questions about her health and fitness journey.
First up: a follower questioning Emily about her desire to enter into a fitness competition — a subject she's considered before.
"I've thought about it but I don't think so," Emily responded. "I've heard that it can be psychologically damaging. Plus honestly, I eat pretty well now but I'd have to become much more disciplined and hardcore and I don't know if I want to do that. I like to be disciplined but also still enjoy life etc."
Additionally, Emily answered a fan who wondered about her breakfast habits. "I only do protein shakes, eggs, or nothing for breakfast," she stated. "I do always get a cortado with oat milk at Peet's Coffee prior to working out."
Emily continued her Q&A session with more responses about her workouts and weight loss.
When one follower asked how Emily stays motivated on her health journey, the volunteer attorney responded, "I don't think it's motivation. It's discipline. I'm very disciplined."
She continued: "We're all disciplined creatures: we brush our teeth every morning, go to work, etc. So, I've just added working out/weightlifting to one of those disciplined activities."
Emily concluded her Q&A session with a comment on her weight loss after a social media user asked if she was "happy" with her "current weight."
"Honestly I'm about 10 pounds away from where I'd like to be but I'm not going to stress about it," Emily shared. "I also realize I lift weights so much that I'm constantly building muscle so who knows if I can reach it. I'm very happy where I am right now so I'm just going to be proud of myself and live in the moment appreciating how strong and happy I am."
