Kelly Dodd's Mysterious "Milkman" Is Blowing Up on National TV

Now we know much more about Kelly Dodd's much-discussed "Milkman" — in his own words (and video)!

By Jenny Berg

Kelly Dodd sent tongues wagging among fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County when she introduced us all to "the Milkman." Also known as Frank Acosta, the dairy-obsessed dude first met Kelly in Las Vegas. The rather comely, if not overwhelmingly conversationally gifted, man later appeared on RHOC (clip above)... and that's when y'all started talking. (OK, we'll admit it: We had some thoughts, too.)

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on  Peacock and the Bravo App.

But later, Kelly set the record straight in a blog post. "So now you've all had a taste of the Milkman!" she wrote back in August. "I met Frank at the Mayweather V. McGregor fight in Vegas. We had a couple of friends in common. We were friends first and even talked about going into business together."

She added: "We are still good friends. I love spending time with him. Being that he lives in New York, you could say he's geographically undesirable, but at least our connection is real. We still talk and see each other. I love our friendship and our bond, but I think it could never work out because of the distance."

And indeed, it seems like Acosta is pretty married to his East Coast gig. In fact, the business that he co-founded with partner Matt Marone is called Manhattan Milk. Through the company, the modern milkmen bring farm-fresh goodies (not just milk ,but other grocery items like meat, coffee, bread, hummus, fruit, and vegetables) door-to-door throughout the boroughs and Westchester County.

They started back in 2007 with one delivery truck... and now have 12. The idea is to restore a personal, intimate touch to customer service in the grocery biz in the age of anonymous online ordering. Their goods come from Trinity Valley, a family farm about five hours outside the city.

But, is there hope yet? Appearing on Megyn Kelly Today on October 23, the milkmen revealed that they've already expanded their business to San Francisco, with other areas in the works. Could those other places include Orange County?

While you mull that, here's everything you need to know about the farm-to-doorstop premise of Manhattan Milk — in the Milkman's own words.
