Scheana Shay Was Told to Dress Her Age and She Had the Best Response

Scheana Shay is just like the rest of the Vanderpump Rules crew: When she goes to a costume party, she really commits 100%. That could be dressing up like a unicorn for newlyweds Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's pre-wedding "magical castle" theme party, or it could be wearing leather head-to-toe and carrying a whip as a super sexy dominatrix.

We love that the SURvers go all out, but it seems not everyone agrees. Here's what happened: Scheana just posted a photo of herself at Tom Sandoval’s recent “Extra AF”-themed birthday party (we spot Lala Kent in the background with her pink mermaid hair and Raquel Leviss in her seafoam green bodysuit). Scheana looked so fierce and very Pussycat Dolls in fishnets, knee-high leather boots, a chain-covered jacket onesie getup, a red bright lip, and a high ponytail. In the caption of her Instagram, she posted a sweet birthday message to younger sister Cortney (who really channels a Barbie doll here). 

But one commenter on Scheana's Instagram decided to try to shame this leather-clad beauty over her costume party look. According to People, a follower wrote: “Scheana, grow up. Aren’t you like 35? Who dresses like that at your age?"

Scheana was having none of it. When another commenter defended her, saying: "Getting older doesn’t mean you have to stop having fun," Scheana chimed in: “Lol. Right!? Grow up? So don’t go to costume parties? Got it lol."
