While her castmates like Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, and Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney-Schwartz opted to buy brand-new, turnkey homes, Kristen Doute when in the opposite real estate direction by investing in a fixer upper. Oozing California charm, the yellow house with white trim and a winding brick walkway has the sweetest curb appeal ever, and inside, Kristen’s put her bohemian-meets-modern stamp on the design.

Working with her decorator John McClain, Kristen has given lots of looks at the changes she’s made throughout the house. For example, there’s her totally gorgeous James Mae office located off the backyard. There’s there’s the super chill outdoor living room, the crisp white master suite, and the beautiful kitchen.

Now Kristen’s sharing some before and after photos of her foyer, where a whole lot has changed! In addition to knocking out a wall to create more room in the entry and living room areas, Kristen also replaced the dark wood flooring with wide gray planks, which completely brightens up the space. Kristen and McClain also outfitted the space with some laidback furnishings like the handwoven side chair, light wood console and entry tables, and a big circular mirror — in addition to her signature décor details of candles and plants!
