Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval undoubtedly know how to whip up a perfect cocktail. (They are self-proclaimed professional drinkers, after all.) But the Vanderpump Rules couple has recently upped their mixology game to include another skill that’s arguably even more important than making alcoholic beverages: perfecting the recovery mocktail.

How to Watch

In an interview with BravoTV.com, the duo dished on their best defense against what Ariana describes as “that post-party heartburn, headache, all of that stuff that you get the next morning.” When they're hoping to soothe hangover symptoms, Tom and Ariana reach for a “light and refreshing” alcohol-free margarita with lemon-lime Alka-Seltzer.

To create their day-after margarita mocktail, Tom and Ariana add two Alka-Seltzer tablets to four ounces of water. Once those have dissolved, they follow up with a splash of ginger syrup and then a bit of lavender honey. Finally, they garnish with lime and ribboned cucumber, and cheers to feeling much better very soon.

“Cocktails and mocktails are both all about balance,” Ariana explained, adding that while they enjoy using lavender honey and ginger syrup, they’re also fans of anything involving fresh fruit, from tasty citrus to muddled berries. “We just love using fresh ingredients.”

Tom also has some helpful advice for crafting a mocktail: “Anytime you go with some sort of berries with a citrus, whether it’s lemon or lime, you can’t go wrong.”
