Scheana Shay has been killing it at the gym. The Vanderpump Rules pal recently lost 15 pounds, and she even released an e-book with her trainer Seth Browning called Scheana's Slimdown. But when she's not in the gym — and is, instead, in her kitchen or out in the world — how does Scheana keep up with her mission on the diet side of the equation?

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

The SURver has opened up before about her tendency toward so-called "carb cycling." And in a recent interview with Life and Style Weekly, she went into detail about how that works: "When we first started, I was doing three days of no carbs, one day of healthy carbs — and that helped kick my body into shape," she said.

Even after losing weight, Sheana's sticking wth the system for eating carbs. Plus, she's having lots of high-protein foods. She told the mag that a typical dinner these days is "salmon with a lot of grilled veggies."

Schena has previously shared other details about her healthy diet, including the fact that Browning works with her to prep meals. At the time, she showed off her kitchen counter, which was stocked with clean eats like sweet potatoes, egg whites, almonds, broccoli, avocados, and strawberries.

The one, not quite as virtuous food that Scheana won't give up, however? "I told [Browning] that my diet is still going to have to have tacos in it," she said. That's our girl!
