Austen Kroll Considers Himself “Lucky” for This Reason Ahead of Southern Charm Season 9

Southern Charm Season 9 is shaping up to be quite the wild ride, especially for cast member Austen Kroll.
As the first-look trailer revealed upon its release on August 3, much of the Season 9 drama revolves around a rumored hookup between Austen and Taylor Ann Green. The alleged hookup in turn affects their relationships with their respective exes, Olivia Flowers and Shep Rose.

Austen Kroll’s Role in Southern Charm Season 9
According to Austen’s official Season 9 bio, the perennial beer connoisseur starts this year turning his attention inward by asking himself why his romantic endeavors are always failing, with Olivia being his latest hot-and-cold relationship to freeze over. He turns to therapy and his parents to find out what kind of work he needs to do on himself, but once again finds himself in the center of unfolding drama.
A press release adds that “some of his closest friendships come into question when dating rumors start to surface.”
Said rumors about him and Taylor are teased in the Southern Charm Season 9 trailer, and while he’s the first to acknowledge that “something happened” with her at the beginning of the trailer, he doesn’t end up providing any additional details — not even after Madison LeCroy yells, “Did you f-ck Taylor or not?”
What Austen Kroll’s Been up to Lately
When he’s not tending to his business, King’s Calling Brewing Co., or working on his podcast with fellow Southern Charm-er Craig Conover, it’s safe to assume that Austen is on the go. This summer has been particularly eventful for him, as he has traveled to several different destinations around the world.
One trip was particularly special, as Austen took it with his family. He shared a snapshot of himself and some of his relatives enjoying a getaway in Rome, Italy, on July 22, writing, “The Krolls have much to celebrate. [Five] weeks ago, the fam was preparing for our much anticipated Italian vacation which had been on the calendar for more than [four] months. [Ten] days prior to our trip, [Dad’s] health came into question. Suffice to say, we cancelled the trip, with the ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ hope, that we’d be able to reschedule and eventually raise a glass together.”
And thankfully, the Kroll family did exactly that. “Well… today is that day!” Austen’s caption continued. “Here we are, together in Rome. Drinking, laughing, poking fun (my new bucket hat has already come under fire) … Life is good. We are lucky. We are happy.”
One month prior, Austen celebrated his birthday in scenic Amalfi. He has also visited places like Provence and Saint-Tropez, France.
