Blake Lively Shows Off Her Post-Baby Body After Losing 61 Pounds
The actress looks incredibly fit, and is proud of it.
Blake Lively is the proud mama to two adorable kids. Her eldest, James Reynolds, is the very same 3-year-old who has lent her vocals to a Taylor Swift track. Lively's youngest daughter, 1-year-old Ines Reynolds, casually pals around with the likes of Salma Hayek. And as for mom, she's proving her superhuman strength by slaying it day after day at the gym.
The actress took to Instagram on February 12 to showcase a photo of herself dressed in head-to-toe gym gear. With her trainer Don Saldino by her side, Lively showed off an enviably toned physique — and jotted an honest caption about what it took to get so incredibly fit.
"Turns out you can’t lose the 61 lbs you gained during pregnancy by just scrolling through instragram and wondering why you don’t look like all the bikini models," Lively joked. (Darn! There goes our preferred "workout.") But seriously: 61 pounds?! That's quite a feat.
The actress also shared how long it took her to lose her pregnancy weight. While it took her ten months to gain the pounds, Lively took a slow and steady 14 months to work it off.
Of course, weight loss may take longer (or shorter!) for other moms, and everyone's journey to health and fitness is a personal one. But, we applaud Lively's honesty about how long her personal body transformation took, and are inspired by her healthful approach to staying in shape.
