Jamie Foxx Is Busy Hanging out with Women Who Aren't Katie Holmes: An Investigation (UPDATED)
Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx's rumored girlfriend, Katie Holmes, was all smiles across the country in NYC.
UPDATE (August 19, 2019 4:59 p.m.) A source confirmed to US Weekly that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have ended their six-year relationship, making the end of their relationship one of the only official confirmations of its existence.
Meanwhile Page Six reported Holmes was overheard discussing her breakup over dinner at NYC's La Esquina restaurant on Saturday, and that she told her friend "What Jamie does is his business — we haven’t been together for months."
The original story continues below.
After years and years of "are they or aren't they," the world got what looked convincingly like relationship confirmation at the 2019 Met Gala, when Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx shot cozy, en-route Instagram Stories and even posed together at the event.
Sure, that came only a few months after he called himself single at this year's Oscars and, you know, casually bought his ex a $1.7-million house, but who can really keep track of life's romantic roller coaster rides?
One thing's for certain — wherever Mr. Foxx goes, if Katie Holmes doesn't follow, the gossip does.
Last week, on Thursday, August 15, he was spotted with a "mystery blonde" hitting up Delilah and Highlight Room in Los Angeles, according to US Weekly. Then, he was caught holding hands with a "mystery brunette" in the early hours of Saturday, August 17. That duo left Bootsy Bellows nightclub in West Hollywood together, where Foxx led the woman to his car where she then rode shotgun.
The mystery brunette, who was later identified as 21-year-old Sela Vave, is a "Recording Artist/Model/Actress," per her Instagram, and a source told PEOPLE it's all on the up and up. Vave is simply the record producer’s newest artist, and he's aiding her budding music career. “She’s just a girl he’s helping out, a young singer,” the source revealed.
Not to be satisfied with that, a deep dive in her Instagram uncovered several pics with Foxx in the last couple months, including one captioned, “I am so grateful to this man! Thank you so much @iamjamiefoxx for everything you do and for believing in me." Sounds pretty mentor-ish to us — but could easily have romantic innuendo, we guess. It's already more public praise than Holmes has ever shared on her Instagram in the six years they've been (maybe) dating.
But if hanging out with a member of the opposite or same sex, is suddenly fodder for relationship gossip, who among us has never been guilty?! Granted we don't usually hold hands with our platonic pals (or work mentors), but with the paparazzi tracking them, it's possible Foxx was just being gentlemanly and helping her navigate the cameras.
So, where was Holmes while this was all going on? She was on a whole different coast, looking unbothered by anything over the weekend in New York City.
