Amanda Batula Details the Exact Diet That Helped Her Lose 15-20 Pounds

"I don't feel like I'm starving myself," the Summer House star said while explaining how she stays full on the diet plan.

Although Amanda Batula doesn't typically eat lunch until late in the afternoon while intermittent fasting, she doesn't feel deprived of food.

"I drink bulletproof [coffee] on the days that I'm intermittent fasting because it's full of healthy fats and it keeps me full until I'm ready to eat lunch around 3:00 or so," the Summer House star said in a recent Instagram Story. "This way I don't feel like I'm starving myself and I'm still getting, like, nutrients."

The drink, also known as butter coffee, typically blends coffee, Brain Octane oil (C8 MCT oil) and grass-fed butter or ghee. 

Amanda explained that drinking the beverage while following the eating pattern, which cycles between periods of eating and fasting, helped her lose "15-20 pounds" since the show's second season, when, she says,  "I was at my heaviest."

"What worked best for me and was easiest and I saw the best results from was intermittent fasting," she continued, noting that she no longer works out because she felt it hindered her weight loss. "And bulletproof [coffee]." 

Amanda also revealed that she cut out all sugar and carbs when she was trying to lose weight, but she has since reintroduced both back into her meal plan: "Now I'll eat more sugar and carbs as I'm maintaining my weight."

Amanda isn't the only Bravolebrity who swears by intermittent fasting. In February, Stassi Schroeder detailed her “loose intermittent fasting,” which consists of the Vanderpump Rules star eating whatever she wants as long as it falls within her designated window for meals. “If it’s happy hour, I'm like, 'I can have some pizza, I can have some pasta, I can have some burrata cheese, Caprese salad, whatever the heck I want,'” she told BravoTV.com at the time. “I justify it in my head by it all being before 6:00."

Like Amanda, Brielle Biermann found that exercising didn't help with her weight loss goals, so she turned to intermittent fasting as well. "I think working out made me eat more because [I] was so hungry," the Don't Be Tardy daughter previously shared, noting that she continues to eat daily Chick-fil-A. "So now [I] just intermittent fast and eat whatever I want but in moderation!"
