Amir Lancaster Thanks Fredrik Eklund for Turning His "Dreams into Reality"
The Summer House: Martha's Vineyard cast member shared an exciting career update involving the MDLNY and MDLLA alum.
Fredrik Eklund has welcomed a familiar face to his real estate empire.
Fresh off announcing his move to Miami, the Million Dollar Listing New York and Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles alum confirmed Amir Lancaster had joined The Eklund | Gomes Team, his national brokerage firm that specializes in luxury properties. The Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard cast member celebrated the big news via Instagram on Thursday (July 13), when he posted a photo of him standing alongside Fredrik and the agency’s co-founder John Gomes.
Fredrik Eklund welcomes Amir Lancaster to his team
“Dreams into reality,” Amir wrote in the caption. “My dream has always been to be THE BEST.. the best Son, Brother, Friend, Athlete, Community Leader, and Real Estate Broker! Thank you to the [Eklund | Gomes Team] to seeing my potential and allowing me to join a team that can facilitate me becoming THE BEST.”
Fredrik was clearly excited over the addition: “WELCOME TO THE [No. 1] REAL ESTATE TEAM IN THE NATION,” he wrote in the comments section.
Summer House: Martha's Vineyard castmates congratulate Amir
Bria Flemming, Nicholas "Nick" Arrington, and Preston Mitchum were among those who sent congratulatory messages to their Martha's Vineyard housemate. The former two left a series of flame emojis, while the latter added, “Let’s go friend!!!!!”
As suggested by the post, Amir will work for the firm’s Texas branch and will primarily cover the Austin market. Amir, who was born and raised in the Lone Star State, became quite familiar with the area while pursuing his undergraduate degree at Texas State University in San Marcos.
“Upon receiving my degree, I pursued a career in Sales covering Central, South, and East Texas,” he told Voyage Austin in 2022. “I knew I wanted to make a difference in the lives of others and my passion for sales quickly pushed me into the world of real estate, model, and acting. I’ve always enjoyed connecting with people and sharing a smile with as many people as possible.”
Amir speaks on his reality TV venture
The career update comes shortly after Season 1 of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard wrapped up.
Amir reflected on the series in a May interview with Bossip, saying he was excited to expose viewers to “the multilayers of Black excellence.”
“We’ve got a bunch of different shades of Black and a bunch of different types of excellence,” he said. “So I’m excited for each one of us to have the opportunity to reach out to a viewer that might not feel represented and show that there is some representation. Like [for example] me, I’m a mixed Lebanese Black kid and I’m sure there’s tons of mixed kids nowadays that are like, ‘Dude I don’t feel like I belong to one or the other.’ But it’s kind of me just being like, ‘Hey we belong to something. I’m just not sure what it is yet.’”
