Brittany Reveals She Took Away This Phone Privilege from Jax After Argument

Brittany may have cut off this phone feature, but Jax doesn’t seem to know about it.

There’s one person The Valley's Brittany Cartwright doesn’t want tracking her every move.

Brittany admitted on the Vanderpump Rules After Show that she stopped sharing her location through her cell phone with her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, after an argument.

“I think I might have turned it off because I was mad at Jax,” she said. “We used to have each other’s location and I turned it off.”

But, if she turned the feature off, Jax — who is currently separated from his wife — didn’t seem to be in on the secret.

“My wife and I share because it’s safety,” Jax told producers in a separate interview. “ You know, I want to know where she is in case, God forbid, something happens.”

Vanderpump Rules Cast Members on Location Tracking

Brittany made the admission during a hilarious discussion about how the cast of Vanderpump Rules and The Valley feel about using the “share my location” feature on their phones with those they know.

It seems some cast members value their privacy and either didn’t share their location at all or only let a select few keep tabs on them, but one castmate admitted to engaging in a shockingly huge amount of daily sleuthing.

Scheana Shay confessed to tracking the location of 56 people through her phone, leaving her fellow castmates stunned.

“Shut up!” Jax exclaimed when a producer shared the staggering number, later adding, “I don’t even know 56 people.”

And he wasn’t the only one feeling shellshocked by the admission.

“That’s like two kindergarten classes,” Ariana Madix remarked.

One person who didn’t seem surprised by the confession was Tom Sandoval, who divulged that Scheana’s impressive tracking abilities have interfered with his own life on more than one occasion.

“I’ve heard this and even, like, in the midst of, like, everything that happened, the scandal, people were like I cannot be around you because Scheana, like, has my location,” he shared. “I heard that from numerous people.”

“Wow,” Jax added. “Wow.”

Why does Scheana Shay follow the location of so many people?

When it came time for Scheana to defend her cellular habits, she told Kristen Doute that in some cases, it was a matter of just wanting to be polite.

“I mean, I’ve had this ever since the app came out and it’s honestly people I don’t even talk to anymore, but I’m like do I go and be like stop sharing?” she said.

“Because then it pops up on the text message,” Kristen added.

“Exactly,” Scheana said. “Then it’s weird.”

But as Katie Maloney pointed out, Scheana’s motivations aren’t always so innocent. She’s also actively used the app to do some online stalking.

In a clip from Vanderpump Rules, Scheana hilariously explained how she knew Katie had an overnight visitor, Tom Schwartz's friend Max, because she was tracking the visitor’s location and realized the tiny tracker dot never left Katie’s home until the next day.

“Scheana, what the f-ck are you saying?” a shocked Katie replied back.

In the After Show, Katie expanded about why the move had her so unnerved in a chat with Ariana.

“That makes me feel weird because it’s like you don’t have location [tracking on me] — I didn’t give you permission,” she said.

As for Ariana, she was the one member of the group who didn’t seem to think Scheana’s behavior was worrisome.

“I have a lot of people’s locations,” she admitted herself.  “I mean sometimes it’s fun to, like, open the map and be like, oh that’s where everybody is.”

But Katie still argued it was “weird.”

“I don’t know. I don’t f-cking like it,” she said. “I think maybe a couple people, like, I’ve shared location with for like 24 hours or something like that, but I made sure it runs out.”

Whatever your comfort level is with sharing your location, as Scheana pointed out, it’s often a two-way street.

“They don’t have yours, though?” Kristen asked, of whether everyone also had access to her location.

“I think so, but I’m like what are you going to do?” an unfazed Scheana replied. “What are you going to do with that, you know?”
