Dr. Simone Whitmore and her husband, Cecil Whitmore, are marking the next big chapter in their relationship. The Married to Medicine couple is celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this week.

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo and streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Dr. Simone commemorated the occasion on the day of their actual 25th wedding anniversary, May 25, by sharing a delightful throwback video of her and Cecil (and their late dog, Sam) all smiles and dancing in their living room. "25 years ago today, I said for better or worse I’ll take this man [Cecil] to be my husband!" Dr. Simone gushed in the caption to the Instagram post. "I love [and] cherish the life we’ve built together, the roads we’ve traveled, the mountains we’ve climbed [and] the valleys our family [and] friends have lifted us out of. Even on the days I don’t show it or say it, I love you."

This clip inspired some comments from the Married to Medicine family, including Married to Medicine Los Angeles' Shanique Drummond, who wished the couple a "Happy Anniversary." Dr. Contessa Metcalfe got a little cheekier with her comment, writing "Back that thang up!" in response to the couple's dance moves. Kari Wells also noted, "Congratulations. If you keep wearing those sexy pants [Dr. Simone] it will always be a happy marriage."

Cecil also marked his 25th wedding anniversary with Dr. Simone on Instagram, sharing a collection of photos of the couple through the years. "It’s the Big One!!! God blessed me to meet my wife 33 years ago as college students at [Morehouse College and Spelman College]," he wrote in the post. "On May 25th, we celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary!!! I’m a lucky man [and] I was a very smart young man."

Shanique, Dr. Jackie Walters, and Dr. Eugene Harris all showed the couple some love in the comments section of Cecil's Instagram post.

So, how are Dr. Simone and Cecil celebrating their big anniversary, you ask? Well, Cecil followed that post up with a new photo of him and Dr. Simone enjoying drinks out at the Pebble Beach Golf Links in California in a post on Instagram on May 27. "The Big 2-5 Anniversary!!! Starts now," Cecil captioned the pic of the romantic getaway, which got some thumbs up from Anila Sajja and Dr. Gregory Lunceford in the comments.

Fans have followed the triumphs and tribulations in Dr. Simone and Cecil's relationship for the past eight seasons of Married to Medicine, including their most challenging time in Season 5. Dr. Simone memorably went into the reunion that season having shared her intention to divorce Cecil. But by the end of one of the most emotionally raw Bravo reunions ever, Dr. Simone and Cecil had decided to reconcile.

Subsequent seasons of Married to Medicine have chronicled Dr. Simone and Cecil's work in rebuilding their relationship, including going to couples therapy and moving back into one home. Now with sons Miles and Michael all grown up and creating their own lives for themselves with their careers and college, Dr. Simone and Cecil's relationship has never been stronger as they get ready to become empty nesters.

They're even now helping other Married to Medicine couples work through their issues. After inviting Dr. Contessa, Toya Bush-Harris, and their respective husbands over for a couples dinner in the May 23 episode of Married to Medicine, Dr. Simone and Cecil witnessed a major breakthrough in Dr. Contessa and husband Dr. Scott Metcalfe's communication issues.

We can't wait to see what the future hold for Dr. Simone and Cecil!
