"We can't even sit still we're so excited," Fredrik told The Daily Dish via phone ahead of the Season 6 MDLNY finale, which aired on Thursday. "We were shopping for baby furniture for the nurseries, for the strollers, for everything yesterday. We took a few hours off and just went to the store. We are finalizing everything. We're upgrading the cars, the baby seats. We're really getting into preparation. It's very, very exciting and we still can't really believe it. I think, also, it's a boy and a girl which is so -- we're so in love with them already. I guess it was worth the wait."

And, Fredrik and Derek (who is also a dad to a son, Kai) already have names picked out for their little bundles of joy: Milla and Freddie Jr. "Derek picked Freddie Jr.," Fredrik explained. As for the name Milla, well that's long been the name the Big Apple agent had picked out for a future little girl.

Season 6 has been emotional for Fredrik, who has experienced many highs and lows throughout his time on MDLNY on his journey to fatherhood, and capping it off with the baby news has proved the perfect period on the sentence that is this latest season. "I was watching the finale last night and a lot of things came together for me, you know, spiritually, professionally, maybe most important personally with the kids," he said. "We're so incredibly excited and we feel like we can finally share that news. But we kept it private for a very long time, so that's exciting. I think it was a very good season."

This season also ended with a splashy 40th birthday bash for Fredrik -- in Paris of all places. "I feel like everything came together," he said of this landmark year in his life. "It's like a 2.0 kind of me starting now and priorities are gonna change. The Connecticut house had a lot to do with that transformation. I feel like the business is bigger than ever, but it's a different kind of business as I'm sure this season has shown. I'm not afraid of failing as that townhouse in Brooklyn showed. I take responsibility, I hope, for my actions and I feel like I've matured a lot in the business side of things too and the projects are just so exciting."

There are only a few more months until the babies come into Fredrik's life, and, as you can bet, he's very excited to meet them. "I don't know what's going to happen to me when I hold them finally," he said. "I don't even know what's going to happen to me. I can't even grasp. For us, since we're two men, and we have this wonderful surrogate and we have so many people that love in our family, but it's been a little bit abstract at times. So, for us, when we hold them, I think everything's going to change again."
