Here's Why LeeAnne Locken Isn't Having Any Bridesmaids at Her Wedding
"[Rich and I] really don't need anyone else," said The Real Housewives of Dallas pal.
On this season of The Real Housewives of Dallas, we witnessed Rich Emberlin’s thoughtful proposal to LeeAnne Locken at the Texas State Fair. He quite literally popped the question by hiding the ring in a balloon, which LeeAnne popped with a dart. Since the surprise proposal, LeeAnne says that wedding planning has begun. In an interview with The Daily Dish podcast, LeeAnne discussed plans for her ceremony and reception, her invite list, and her love for Rich.
“I imagine our wedding will be super tiny, in a chapel,” LeeAnne said, describing her plans for a very intimate ceremony, with only close friends and family.
As far as the wedding party goes, “There probably won't be any bridesmaids or groomsmen because Chris Kyle was murdered and that was Rich's best friend. And so I wouldn't want it to be unbalanced,” she explained. Chris Kyle was a U.S. Navy SEAL and sniper, whose life was chronicled in the film American Sniper.
When asked if any of her fellow Housewives would be invited to the wedding, she said that only some will be invited to the ceremony but they are all invited to the reception. “A few Housewives will more than likely be at my wedding, in the ceremony. Everyone will be welcome to the reception. Just be aware that if you think I'm the big, bad, ugly, bitch, you have not met my lifelong friends.”
But when it comes to her big day, LeeAnne said there’s only one person who truly matters to her. “Rich and I are each other's family. We're all each other has had for so long, for eight years, almost nine years. We really don't need anyone else," LeeAnne said. “He is my soul mate.”
