We Have an Update on Dr. Contessa Metcalfe and Toya Bush-Harris’ Friendship
The Married to Medicine cast members revealed the latest look at where things stand between them.
There’s no question that Dr. Contessa Metcalfe and Toya Bush-Harris have experienced their fair share of drama ever since Dr. Contessa joined Married to Medicine in Season 5, including their issues last year when tensions ran high between the two at Anila Sajja’s Rakhi celebration.
Recently, Dr. Contessa took to Instagram to share the latest look at where things stand between them today. “Dr. Jacqueline Walters come get your people,” Dr. Contessa jokingly wrote in the caption of her June 11 post, which featured a fun video of the Married to Medicine doctor alongside Toya at a party, where both ladies donned pink dresses for the occasion.
Dr. Contessa added the hashtags “Delta Sigma Theta” and “I’m Keeping Toya” to the caption of her post, while Dr. Jackie responded in the comments with a series of pink heart emojis.
Toya also shared another photo of herself looking pretty in pink earlier this month for a separate occasion, writing in the caption, “I’ll stop loving pink when they make a prettier color…” Dr. Contessa showed love to Toya in the comments, posting a fire emoji and writing, “Gorgeous.”
Earlier this year, Dr. Contessa gave a peek at a fun group outing that included her husband, Dr. Scott Metcalfe, Toya and her husband, Dr. Eugene Harris, and Dr. Simone Whitmore and her husband, Cecil Whitmore.
“Snow days are perfect for brunch,” she wrote in the caption of her post, featuring a photo of the trio of couples from their day together. “You can’t keep us inside,” Dr. Contessa added, including the hashtag “couples goals” in the caption.
In addition to their hangout time, the two Married to Medicine cast members have made sure to spend sweet moments with family lately, as Dr. Contessa recently offered a glimpse at her recent family vacation to the Cayman Islands, where she celebrated her 46th birthday with her husband and their three children, daughters Lauren and Laila and son Landon.
Toya also recently shared an adorable photo of her loved ones on Instagram with a throwback picture of sons Ashton and Avery. “This was the BEST age…” she wrote in the caption of her May 23 post, adding, “Now I have a preteen and [10-year-old] with so much [love].”
Fans can see more of Dr. Contessa, Toya, and the rest of the cast when Married to Medicine kicks off on July 10 at 9/8c. Each episode will stream the next day on Peacock.
