Melissa Gorga Reveals if Her Fallout with Jackie Goldschneider Has to Do with Teresa Giudice
The RHONJ mom admitted she and Jackie have "drifted apart" over the past year: "We’re definitely not where we were."
The friendship between Melissa Gorga and Jackie Goldschneider took an unfortunate — and quite surprising — turn last year. When the latter joined The Real Housewives of New Jersey in Season 9, she immediately hit off with Melissa and remained one of her closest friends throughout the following seasons. However, their tight bond seemingly weakened last summer, around the time Jackie buried the hatchet with her former foe Teresa Giudice.
Jackie and the Jersey OG showed love for one another in various interviews and social media posts, which was a bit shocking considering their on-screen blowouts that stemmed from infidelity rumors involving Jackie's husband. The Weight of Beautiful author addressed the relationship in a September interview with Us Weekly, admitting she and Teresa were both in the wrong.
“All this stuff is in our past, and we both acknowledge that we’ve been through it,” Jackie told the outlet. “We know that we have and we’ve both not been very nice to each other, and it’s OK. It’s OK. We’re through it.”
While many fans were thrilled with the reconciliation, some wondered how it affected Teresa’s sister-in-law Melissa, from whom she’s estranged.

So, did Jackie’s relationship with Teresa cause a rift with her former bestie? The RHONJ alum squashed the speculation in a December 2023 interview with InTouch Weekly, saying there was no bad blood between her and Melissa.
“Nothing happened with Melissa,” Jackie said before referring to her fallout with Jersey ’Wife Margaret Josephs. “So I don’t know if Melissa just jumped on what was happening with me and Margaret and made it hers. But I have no problem with Melissa, I never had an argument with Melissa. So I’m officially saying that I have no issue with Melissa.”
However, the Envy boutique owner recently confirmed she and Jackie have remained somewhat distant over the past several months, but insisted the disconnect had “nothing to do with” Teresa, as some Jersey fans suspected.
“I think we drifted apart of little bit, but it had nothing to do with anything other than Jackie just had a change of heart on a bunch of different things and feelings,” Melissa told Access Hollywood at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards. “Jackie and I aren’t completely not speaking, but we’re definitely not where we were.”

And as for Melissa’s current relationship with Teresa? She told the outlet they “do no communicate at all.”
The mother of three addressed the topic during a BravoCon 2023 panel, saying her dynamic with Teresa was “very different from last season."
“I think it’s different because there’s not a lot of communication. So, it’s different and I think better, honestly,” she said. “We’re at a place of peace. I think everyone needs a minute, everyone needs a break and there’s just a period on it right now.”
She echoed those comments during an Entertainment Tonight interview last month, saying she and Teresa “don’t even look at each other.” Although she described the situation as "unfortunate," Melissa suggested the distance was for the best.
“It is the new normal,” she explained. “I think it just is what it is. I always say it’s unfortunate. I’ll never be, like, happy about that. But we’re all living, and we’re happy, and sometimes things just need to take its course. Right now that’s definitely how it is.”
