After her debut memoir, Bad Mormon, became a bestseller, the Beauty Lab + Laser owner has set her sights on writing another book.

On Season 4, Episode 10, which aired on November 14, Heather held an "intimate" book reading event, and she opened up about her plans to continue writing.

Heather Gay's plans to write another book after Bad Mormon

At her event, Heather gushed about what it's been like for her since she published her book. "I never imagined that I would write a book, and I never imagined that that book would be so well-received," she said to the crowd.

After sharing an excerpt from her book to the crowd of attendees, Heather explained why she's interested in carrying on in her writing career.

"I can't believe that someone asked me to write a book; I can't believe that people read the book; I can't believe that people loved the book, and I don't want it to end," she said in an interview on the episode. "I want to keep doing this, and I want to write a second book, and I want to write a third book. And I want to keep exploring, like, who I am and why I feel the way I do, and hope that it reaches other people, too."

Through her book events, Heather has connected with many people who have been in similar situations, and who have shared their experiences with her.

"I feel connected to these people, and I feel like they are the community that replaced the church in my life," she continued.

Heather Gay's daughters react to her book announcement

Though Heather had shared that her daughters had faced some backlash following the release of her first book, the girls are fully supportive of her continuing to write.

Her younger two daughters, Annabelle and Georgia, attended the event. "We need more of these book tours," Georgia told Heather. "They're my favorite thing ever."

"We were crying," Annabelle added.

Heather then shared that she wants to write another book.

"I am doing this second book," Heather said. "And it's gonna be a lot more and a little but more intense than Bad Mormon. But, before I write it, I just feel like I haven't checked in with you guys. Like, are you on board... like if it puts a target on your backs?"

"I think as long as it's done out of a place of healing and passion from you, and not out of a place of, 'Oh, I'm trying to get back at them.' Just telling your story, then I think, for sure, go for it," Georgia said.

The RHOSLC cast member reflected on her daughters' words in another interview. "Having my daughters support me and give their blessing for me to write a second book means everything to me," she said. "As a mom, it feels so rewarding to know that you've raised children [who] are resilient."
