After Scheana Shay expressed mixed emotions about Ariana Madix's dancing gig, Tom Sandoval is weighing in.
On Season 11, Episode 8 of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Shay opened up about her mixed emotions regarding Ariana Madix joining Dancing with the Stars. Scheana told Ariana that although it was "a punch to the gut" because she was hoping to compete on the series, she was "genuinely happy" for her longtime friend. As it turns out, Scheana wasn't the only cast member with those feelings.
Tom Sandoval reveals Ariana Madix's recent career move was his "dream"
In the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 After Show video above, Tom Sandoval revealed, "It's been a dream of mine, too. I actually took ballroom lessons and everything." Later, he added, "I know Ariana well enough to know what her dreams are, and she's literally living her dream."
Tom shared he did not watch Ariana on the series, because as he explained, "I think that's a little weird."

Scheana Shay explains her reaction to Ariana Madix on DWTS
In the same clip above, Scheana shared more details on her reaction to Ariana's career news. "Anyone who knows me, I think, knows this is something I've wanted to do for a really long time," she said. "It wasn't that I wasn't happy for her. I was very happy for her. I wasn't happy [with] how I found out about it." As revealed on Season 11, Episode 7 of Vanderpump Rules, Ariana's boyfriend, Daniel Wai, told Scheana the news after the announcement was out.
However, Ariana noted in the clip above that she didn't tell "anybody" (with a few exceptions) before the news was official because she didn't want to jeopardize her casting.
Ariana Madix reacts to Scheana Shay's recent comments about her
Ariana shared her feelings about Scheana's comments when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on March 12.
She told host Andy Cohen, "I mean, on one hand I can totally understand being happy while also feeling, like, oh you did also really want this thing for yourself. But on the other hand, my thought process is that if one person from our show gets on it, wouldn't that help someone else from our show get on it?"
