A Day in the Life of Sonja Morgan’s Interns

For a time there, the term "intern" became synonymous with Sonja Morgan, who employed a handful of young folks to help her out. But if you were hoping for the shot to work for Sonja and also earn some college credit in the process, those days are over. The Real Housewives of New York City party girl revealed why she no longer has interns.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and stream next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

“Oh, you know, I really enjoyed my experience with the interns and it was gratifying,” Sonja told Entertainment Tonight. “I needed them, they needed me. But, once I was out of the Chapter 11 reorganization and I had my bank accounts back, and I could — I can't! It's a lot of work. It's exhausting to be side-by-side with a student all day. You have to check their work and critique... They don’t work autonomously. It’s a side-by-side [thing].”

Dorinda Medley noted that being a boss to a group of interns really isn't as easy as it might seem. “It’s much more complicated than you think,” she said. “There’s a lot of legal things.”

So, who is helping of the Big Apple mom these days? “I have a great assistant now," Sonja explained. "I'm in a different place now, too. I'm not in flight or fight every day. Now, I wanna, you know, collapse and take stock and just relax. I want to breathe now.”

Interns or not, you can check out Sonja on RHONY every Wednesday at 9/8c. Preview, below.
