Taylor Armstrong Reveals She’s Bisexual and Reflects on Her Past Relationship with a Woman (UPDATED)

UPDATE (June 29, 10:17 A.M.): Andy Cohen brought up Taylor's revelation on the June 28 episode of Watch What Happens Live, telling the RHOC newcomer, "Didn't know you were bisexual. We found that out tonight! That's big news."

"Yeah, it was big news — I think for a lot of people," Taylor responded. "Maybe including my mother."

Andy's response? Turning to the camera, he said, "Hey mom, hope you enjoyed Taylor on [The Real Housewives of] Orange County!"

Taylor Armstrong was tasked with revealing something her castmates on The Real Housewives of Orange County didn’t already know about her on Season 17 Episode 4, which aired June 28. And with the exception of Tamra Judge (and Emily Simpson, who was absent from the cast trip to Montana because she was sick), Taylor did exactly that. 

More specifically, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum and RHOC newcomer told Tamra, Shannon Storms Beador, Heather Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter, and Jennifer Pedranti, “I’m bisexual.” 

Taylor Armstrong Shares She’s Bisexual

The group was surprised, but Taylor expected that. “Most people are surprised to find out that I’m bisexual, probably because, just, stereotypes,” she explained in a confessional interview. “I mean, it’s not something that I broadcast. But I’m open to all people that have great souls and that you can love.”

Back in conversation with the RHOC ladies, Tamra brought up the fact that Taylor had been in a relationship with a woman. Referencing Taylor’s late husband, Tamra asked, “Was that prior to Russell [Armstrong], or after Russell?”

“It was prior,” Taylor replied before sharing that the relationship with the woman had lasted “about five years.”

“Hell,” she joked, “I know marriages that don’t last that long.”

Taylor Armstrong’s Current Relationship

Taylor is currently married to attorney John Bluher. They wed in April 2014 in a beachside ceremony, and Taylor’s daughter, Kennedy — then 8 years old — was the one to walk her down the aisle. John has since adopted Kennedy.

Just recently, Taylor shared an update on her now-17-year-old daughter. “She just finished her junior year [of high school], so she is going to be going to college, of course, after her senior year,” Taylor said of Kennedy during a fan Q&A with BravoTV.com. “She’s starting to make moves and to grow up.”

With that comes mixed emotions, of course — especially since Kennedy’s impending high school graduation means that Taylor and John will soon be empty nesters. “That’s the problem with having an only child," Taylor added during the Q&A. “It’s just heartbreaking!”

Thankfully, Kennedy isn’t quite at that point yet. She will, however, be appearing on RHOC Season 17. Taylor confirmed as much back in December while acknowledging, “[It’s] hard to believe she turned 4 on Season [1] of RHOBH.” 

Around that time, Taylor also shared why she found it important to return to The Real Housewives after not being on RHOBH for more than a decade. Her response? “My story felt unfinished. I am excited to share my new chapter on RHOC.”
