Mercedes "MJ" Javid Reflects on "Not Communicating" with Her Family to "Vent" Filming The Traitors

Bravo fans spent many years getting to know the many sides of Mercedes "MJ" Javid during her time on Shahs of Sunset, including getting to watch her go from single girl about town to settling down Tommy Feight and becoming a mom to son, Shams.
But, there's more to MJ than Shahs of Sunset fans got to see in the past. When she was recruited to join Season 2 of Peacock's The Traitors, it meant she get to show more of herself on the competition series, but she would have to leave her loved ones behind to do it.
In the latest episode of Bravo's Hot Mic podcast, MJ sat down with host Alex Baskin to chat about heading to Scotland to film the competition series. For the conversation, MJ is joined by Erica Forstadt, who works behind the scenes on Bravo shows, including having spent time working on Shahs of Sunset.

In the conversation on Bravo's Hot Mic Podcast, MJ opened up about being "stripped away of everything" like her phone and revealed what it was like to be "not communicating" with her family to "vent" about what was happening during filming the series so far from home back in Los Angeles. She added that in between the action, you're "alone with your thoughts for hours and hours... you can trust no one."
