Ariana Madix’s First Sit-Down Interview Since Her Split Is Here — but It’s Not What You Think
Watch the Vanderpump Rules cast member joke about her and Tom Sandoval’s breakup.
Ariana Madix may not be ready to talk about her and Tom Sandoval’s breakup in depth, but she is ready to laugh about it. The Vanderpump Rules cast member gave her first sit-down interview following the split and continued chatter of Tom’s infidelity, but in lieu of a serous conversation, Ariana showed off her comedy chops by going back and forth with host Hanna Dickinson in a bit for Comedy Central.
Shared on April 18, the video begins with Dickinson jokingly asking Ariana if her resemblance to “another girl” on Vanderpump Rules is “triggering.” Her response? “You don’t look like anyone they would let on television, so…”
From there, the two continue to riff on the drama surrounding Ariana and Tom’s breakup. Later trying to get the scoop on Ariana’s dating life, Dickinson bluntly states, “You are single.”
“Is there a question?” Ariana responds, to which Dickinson jokes, “Yeah, bitch, give us the juice!”
“I’m single too,” Dickinson continues. “So now you’re in the group with me, Lala [Kent], and Katie [Maloney], which is a little awkward because everyone says I’m the Ariana of the group.”
Ariana insists that “no one says that,” and when Dickinson goes on to make a similar comment — that the two are “twinsies” because they both have tattoos on the back of their arms and they’ve both “dated the worst guys” — Ariana once again hilariously shuts her down, quipping, “You’ve never dated anyone.”
Ariana filming the humorous bit for Comedy Central is just one example of how she’s been keeping busy this past month. Most recently, she and Scheana Shay attended Coachella with several of their other friends. There, in a video shared by influencer/media figure Farai Bennett, Ariana confirmed she was “thriving.”
The same could be said for her career. As she and Katie prepare to open their highly anticipated sandwich shop, Something About Her, Ariana is also set to star in an upcoming Lifetime film, Buying Back My Daughter. The project also stars Meagan Good, and the movie’s plot centers on a couple searching for their 16-year-old daughter who has gone missing. Ariana plays Karen, a police officer who assists with the case and has a personal interest in it. The film delves into topics such as human sex trafficking and is part of the network’s “Ripped from the Headlines” series.
To hear more from Ariana, check out her interview with Vanderpump Rules co-executive producer James Markham in the video at the top of the post. In it, the two discuss the series, the cast, and the first time they met each other, as well as his “unique relationship” with the cast.
