Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave gave birth to her youngest child, an oh-so precious baby girl named Dove, back in February. And as she recently revealed, Dove's birthday was the same day she got back on her stationery bike.
When describing her postpartum workout regime to Us Weekly, the mother of three said: "Right after I had Dove and [the COVID-19 pandemic] started happening in the world, I noticed that I was turning to food and being like, ‘Well, I need that Aperol spritz right now,’ so that’s why I got approved and started doing a postpartum program early.” The accountability coach added that she went back to “spinning the day I gave birth."
Teddi has shared more about her postpartum fitness regime on her Instagram feed, offering week-by-week snaps at her bare midriff. Some five weeks after giving birth, she wrote: "My physical appearance has clearly changed, but what I’m most proud of is my mental transformation throughout these past 2 weeks. This Postpartum [exercise] program was exactly what I needed to center myself and keep me committed to me, so I can show up as my best for the ones that need me."
However, Teddi has been careful to note that not every pregnancy allows for such a quick return to the gym. While pregnant with Dove, "I gained 45 pounds," she recently revealed. "With Slate and Cruz I gained over 80 with both of them, but this was a completely different pregnancy." She also shared. "I went into [this pregnancy] active, I was able to stay active. With Slate and Cruz I was on and off bed rest ... Every journey is different so be nice to yourself."
