James Kennedy Just Made a Bold Statement About the Vanderpump Rules Cast
The DJ revealed the one surprising thing that makes him stand out from the rest of his Vanderpump Rules castmates.
Being the “number one guy” in the Vanderpump Rules crew is kind of a big deal at this point, and James Kennedy is claiming the top spot — when it comes to this one thing anyway.
James Kennedy’s Claim About the Vanderpump Rules Cast
While speaking with New York magazine’s The Strategist for its “What I Can’t Live Without” section, James detailed some of his must-have hair and beauty products, making a very particular note about the American Crew Men’s Hair Fiber ($21) he’s been using “since high school.”
“Hairdressers scold me for it. They’re like, ‘What do you mean you use this?’ But if it works, why change it, you know what I mean? The hold lasts all night,” the DJ noted, adding that the product “washes out super easily,” which is why he prefers it over “annoying gel waxes and pomades.”
With that in mind, James shared that he likes to keep his hair “really healthy and let it live without product in it,” adding: “Obviously, I’ve got the best hair on Vanderpump Rules, and there’s a reason for that.”
This is definitely a bold claim on James’ part, considering the particular pride Tom Sandoval takes in his hair routine.
It’s not the first time James has made this distinction before. In 2019, he spoke with BravoTV.com about the matter a video you can watch here. In addition to pointing out that he has great hair, James also detailed his hair product spending habits in a game of “High or Low?” which asked Bravolebs about their financial preferences for certain items.
“No one’s gonna believe this, but [I go] low,” James states in the clip. “But I’ve just got great hair, so I make anything work.”
He goes on to say, “Fifty dollars on a can of hair stuff? No, absolutely not. Tom can go do that, and I still got better hair than Tom.”
More of James Kennedy’s Must-Have Products and Gadgets
In addition to his go-to hair product, James shared some of his other favorite things, including E.L.F. Perfect Finish HD Powder ($6) for “a quick touch-up on- and off-camera,” and Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Omega-Rich Cloud Cream ($60) that keeps him “looking young and camera ready.”
Also included in the mix were Mumba High Fidelity Concert Earplugs ($18) — a necessity for any DJ with “a lot of gigs” — and a Fossil Buckner Backpack ($250) that is perfect for travel.
James was also sure to note his love for the Alo District Trucker Hat ($58) that makes him feel “like I’m Ashton Kutcher in the early 2000s.”
“If I’m ever having a bad hair day — rare, but it happens — I reach for this trucker hat,” he quipped.
