Guerdy Abraira Confronts Larsa Pippen Over Cancer Reveal: What Went Down
Larsa said she only meant well when telling the other Miami Housewives about Guerdy's battle with breast cancer.
C is for confrontation on The Real Housewives of Miami now that Guerdy Abraira took Larsa Pippen to task for revealing her cancer diagnosis to the other Miami 'Wives.
Earlier in the season, on Episode 3, Guerdy hoped to have a “safe space” with Larsa when tearfully confessing she had breast cancer, a gut-punch admission.
During filming, Guerdy wanted Larsa to keep the news to herself. However, it was a mere six hours before Larsa spilled, despite telling Guerdy she’d keep the information confidential.
(Guerdy has since opened up more about her battle and announced at BravoCon 2023 that she was deemed “cancer-free, officially!”)
What happened between Guerdy Abraira and Larsa Pippen?
Larsa was first seen telling friends Zana and Yami at Marcus Jordan’s Welcome Home party and later told Lisa Hochstein, Marysol Patton, and Kiki Barth about Guerdy's diagnosis.
The news took on a life of its own, and Lisa eventually told Guerdy that she’d caught wind of the cancer rumors.
Guerdy explained to RHOM producers that she’d already told Adriana De Moura, Julia Lemigova, and Nicole Martin.
“They all knew not to tell anyone,” Guerdy said. “And the only person that I knew would sing like a canary would be someone like Larsa. OK?”
Guerdy told Lisa and Adriana that she “tested someone” (referring to Larsa) and that Larsa “failed bigly.”

The next day, Lisa told Larsa that Guerdy was testing her with the sensitive information, which left Larsa wondering, “Who tests cancer?” as she’d rhetorically asked producers.
“Listen, I don’t have time for tests,” Larsa told Lisa. “She needs to grow up.”
Guerdy confronts Larsa over cancer diagnosis
Flash forward to Season 6, Episode 6, when the ladies attended Julia’s opera-themed F-ck Cancer party to celebrate her wife Martina Navratilova’s recent remission from throat and breast cancer. With the ‘Wives gathered in their ultra-glam attire, Larsa brought up the snafu.
Guerdy said putting Larsa to the test was “a way for me to start with you as a friend again” and letting her back into Guerdy’s life.
“You were irresponsible with the information,” Guerdy told Larsa, though Larsa said she told the others “from a place of love.”
The conversation only got more heated from there, with Guerdy calling Larsa a liar.
“I’m just not gonna deal with someone calling me a liar,” Larsa told producers. “I was literally trying to get the girls to rally around you and show you love, and if you don’t know that about me, then you’re the liar.”
Will Larsa and Guerdy become friends again?
As the Housewives prepped for their upcoming trip to Palm Beach, Guerdy said she would not accept Larsa’s excuses, as explained over lunch with Marysol and Kiki later in Episode 6. She said she didn’t want to hear about Larsa saying it came from a place of concern.
“Unless she says, ‘I did you wrong, and I’m sorry. If it happened to me, I wouldn’t have liked it either,’” said Guerdy. “Be empathetic to me.”
Guerdy stated she didn’t want any “bad energy” on the upcoming girls’ trip, and explained how her anger when facing Larsa had since evolved to sadness over broken trust.
Later in the episode, Larsa said her plan on the trip was to “avoid, abort, and hide,” which was similar to Guerdy’s strategy to stay on the “opposite side of the room from Larsa.”
