Lauren Manzo Scalia Tried Popeyes Chicken Sandwich and Deemed it "Trash"
Caroline Manzo's daughter has taken a highly controversial stance in the #ChickenWars.
Lauren Manzo Scalia is not impressed with Popeyes' chicken sandwich. This isn't to say that the menu item isn't wildly popular: After the fast food chain entered #ChickenWars, competing with other eateries to make the best chicken sandwich, Popeyes could hardly keep its crispy, pickle-topped dish in stock.
And even though Cynthia Bailey and her beau, Mike Hill, were willing to wait in a long line to try the delicacy — and Porsha Williams thinks it's pretty damn good — the Manzo'd with Children daughter isn't on board.
In a recent Instagram Story, Lauren shared a video of herself and her salon staff trying a spread of Popeyes snacks in the break room. They had sides like rice, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese (a Brielle Biermann favorite!) The gang also tried the chicken sandwich, and here's what Lauren had to say:
"I'm gonna put this on record," she said. "I'm gonna put this on my Instagram, on record. Popeyes: Your sandwich sucks balls. Trash. Trash! Disgusting."
Well, here's one silver lining: You can review Lauren's words if your local Popeyes is out of the sandwich, and avoid getting FOMO.
