Here's Why Jasmine Goode's Girlfriend on The Valley Looks So Familiar to Reality TV Fans

Jasmine Good's girlfriend of three years, Melissa Marie, made her mark on another popular reality series last year.

The Valley’s Jasmine Goode is no stranger to reality television—and neither is her girlfriend, Melissa Marie.

How to Watch

Watch The Valley on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app

Bravo fans may recognize Jasmine, a former SURver-turned-realtor, from her stint as a contestant on Season 21 of The Bachelor and its popular spinoff, Bachelor in Paradise. These days, the former NFL cheerleader is often the voice of reason on The Valley as the cast tries their hand at adulting in a more suburban area of Los Angeles.

Fans got their first glimpse of Jasmine’s girlfriend of three years, Melissa, on The Valley’s third episode as the cast gathered for an epic Capri-themed dinner party. But if Melissa looked familiar, there’s a very good reason for that.

Who is Jasmine Goode’s girlfriend, Melissa Marie?

Melissa was known to many as contestant 361 on Squid Game: The Challenge, where she competed for a chance at $4.56 million. Although Melissa ultimately didn’t walk away with the millions (that honor went to Mai Whelan) she called the experience on Instagram an “opportunity of a lifetime.”

So just who is Melissa and how did she and Jasmine connect?

As Jasmine shared on The Valley, both women share the same hometown: Maplewood, New Jersey.

“She graduated with my brother. So it’s like when she moved out here, it was kind of like a comfort, like a piece of home,” Jasmine, who described herself as bisexual, explained.

Melissa’s bio on Squid Game: The Challenge described her as a 30-year-old manager.

“Melissa works in strategic programs and operations and loves to seek out adrenaline rushes all around the world, from skydiving to bungee jumping,” the bio read. “She’s most excited to play Glass Bridge since she’s not afraid of heights.”

Melissa’s frequent world travels, whether its a hot air balloon festival in Turkey or walking the Italian streets, are often a focus of her Instagram page

Melissa decided to make Los Angeles her permanent address in 2020.

“A trip to LA turned more permanent: a year ago today I decided to book a long vacation to LA after years of thinking about moving here,”  she wrote on Instagram in 2021. “I still have a lot of growth and dream chasing to do but the morale of the story is..’The cost of procrastination is the life you could’ve lived.’”

The move seems to have paid off and these days she’s living her best life with Jasmine, who she posted on Instagram to commemorate last year

“Happy birthday to the woman who stole my heart,” Melissa wrote on Instagram. “You make life fun and no matter where we go, you’re always the best view.”

What has Melissa Marie said about Squid Games: The Challenge?

As a former Division I lacrosse player at The University of Massachusetts Amherst, Melissa isn’t one to shy away from a physical challenge, but she admitted in a video on social media that the Red Light, Green Light challenge on the first episode of Squid Games: The Challenge wasn’t for the faint of heart.

“We used to condition in the snow in the winter, running around, and this was by far the hardest physical thing I’ve ever had to do,” she said.

During her quest for fame and fortune on the competition, Jasmine effortlessly slipped back into her role as cheerleader.

“Melissa was a contestant on Squid Game: She has entered the game!!!” she wrote on Instagram. “Make sure yall watch my girl battle it out on @squidgamenetflix.”

Putting herself to the test, whether it’s physically or mentally, is nothing new for the former athlete, who shared her life philosophy alongside a photo of herself tandem skydiving in 2018.

“This couldn’t be anymore perfect of a picture to explain my 2018. A mixture of adrenaline, adventure, risk, bliss, love and flight,” Melissa wrote. “To me my growth has always been about willingly putting myself in uncomfortable situations, no matter what level of peace or happiness I was in at the time. Complacency will always be the enemy. But through adaptability and courage I find new versions of myself daily.. and 2018 has shown me that tenfold.”

Could parenthood be the couple’s next adventure together? Jasmine’s bio on Bravo hinted that could be in the future, but the couple isn’t planning on buying any cribs just yet.

“Although she isn’t looking to have kids at this moment, she’s hoping for a family some day with her girlfriend Melissa,” it read.

To keep up with Melissa, Jasmine, and the rest of the cast, watch The Valley Tuesday nights on Bravo or available streaming the next day.
