James Kennedy Shares the “One Thing” He Doesn’t Miss About Living in the U.K.
The Vanderpump Rules DJ revealed what he misses about life in England — and what he definitely does not.
James Kennedy is a homeowner. The Vanderpump Rules DJ is excitedly settling into his first house, which has everything from a music studio to a stunning pool deck. (Get more details on the “cute” home below.) James lives in the house with his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, whom he has called “the love of [his] life.”
There’s no doubt about it: James is fully entrenched in his life in Los Angeles. But does the England native ever miss living in the U.K.? James weighed in on that during a recent Ask Me Anything session on Instagram.
Does James Kennedy miss living in the U.K.?
When a follower asked James whether he misses anything about the U.K., the music maestro was quick to confess: “I miss my sweets! And I miss my family.” However, he added: “One thing I don’t miss is the weather.”
To underscore his point, the DJ shared a photo of his pool. In the Los Angeles sunlight, James’ private swimming spot was filled with sparkling turquoise water and colorful floats. Around the pool was vibrant green grass and a palm tree or two, and his pool deck was outfitted with cushy lounge seating.
James recently told BravoTV.com that he takes pride in his outdoor space. “I love my garden,” he said. While explaining that he was remodeling his backyard at the time, James joked, “I’m in very much, like, dad mode. Not dad mode, but you know what I mean? I’ve got a house now. Very grown up!”
Well, all his hard work has paid off. His pool deck looks stunning, and it’s a gorgeous place to soak up the sun that James has grown so fond of.

James first opened up about his homeownership on Peacock’s Pumped Up edition of Vanderpump Rules: Secrets Revealed. “I’ve been renting apartments in Los Angeles, like, literally for 12 or 13 years,” he shared. “Finally, James Kennedy has bought a house.”
Although James and Ally had been living in an apartment for most of their relationship, Ally shared with James during the episode that she felt ready to start a new chapter in their next home together. “I’m kinda over it,” she said, referencing the apartment in the video above. “I’ve been, like, saying goodbye to it for the past month. I’ve been like, ‘I’m so grateful for you, bye.’”
When dishing on his new home, James revealed that the property is “in the Valley” and described it as a “really cute” house. “It’s a three-bedroom, like, little gray home,” he said. “It’s got a pool in the back. It’s got a dream studio.”
In a recent Instagram Story, James revealed that he was in the process of renovating his studio. “I’m putting the new floor in my studio right now,” he said, panning over a space with a sliding glass door that leads to his pool deck. “So [the] idea is to soundproof this. The neighbors are gonna hate me,” James continued, presumably referring to what would happen without soundproofing.
